The SAYHU Preservation Project’s goal is to conduct and preserve oral histories, as well as gather other archival materials to create awareness of and document the diverse lives of South Asians living in Houston. Oral histories and archival materials preserve and build onto the limited recorded histories of South Asian-Americans living in the Southern United States. These materials will be digitized and made available as educational resources for the general public and future researchers through the SAYHU website and their digital archival repository.
